Grow Florida-Fresh Food—Not Frustration
“Grow two people’s groceries all fall—without guessing which seeds survive our brutal heat.”
The Evermoon Acres Florida Fall Seed Kit is a zero-plastic bundle of 16 UF/IFAS-tested vegetable varieties selected for Zones 9b-10a, ready for sowing so Florida gardeners can harvest all autumn without guessing which seeds survive the heat. Limited to 100 pre-order kits and includes a fall planting calendar plus daily tips that help two adults grow roughly 100 lb of produce in a single 10 × 20-ft bed or three 4×8-ft raised beds.
Dear Fellow (Frustrated) Florida Gardener,
If you’ve ever copied a YouTube “spring garden” video only to watch your tomatoes crisp in August, it’s not your thumb—it’s the calendar. National garden books were written for Vermont; their April advice is a death sentence in Zone 9b/10.
I’m Emily Bonilla. I followed that northern advice for years and fried every crop. When I switched to Florida research, a 10 × 20 bed I tended 15 minutes a day overflowed with food. I turned that breakthrough into this ready-to-plant kit.
Florida Fall Seed Kit Contents (Only 100 Kits This Season)
| Included | Why It Matters in Florida |
|---|---|
| 16 UF/IFAS-verified, Non-GMO seeds – Valued at over $60 | Tested varieties by University of Florida as best seeds to grow in Florida’s unique, harsh, hot, and humid climate. Seeds are for zones 9b and 10a. |
| Tested for Germination | Each lot is lab-tested (printed % & test date) for fresh, reliable germination. |
| Customized Florida Fall Planting Guide and Plot Plan – Valued at over $350 | Customized guidance for this kit, including a plot plan. My Gardening Guide, month-by-month calendar, pest cheat-sheet, and optional 15-Minute Daily Task List. I take the guesswork out of the process and share what has worked for me. |
| 100 % Plastic-Free Packaging | Paper seed sleeves, compostable pouch, and a ship-box you can shred for mulch or use as a temporary seedling tray—no microplastics. |
Plot, Timeline & Pay-off
| Timeline | |
|---|---|
| Mid-Aug | Start seeds indoors (70-80°F) |
| Early Sep | Transplant to one 10 × 20 ft bed or three 4 × 8 beds (≈ 200 sq ft). |
| Early Oct (~50 days) | First salads, basil & blooms. |
| Early Nov (~90 days) | Beans & Roma tomatoes roll in; about 100 lbs of produce worth ≈ $200 at Florida grocery prices* and weeks of harvests for greens. |
*USDA “Thrifty” plan & Tampa-area produce survey, 2025.
A two-adult household here spends $120–$150 a week on groceries. One $29.95 kit can wipe out two full weeks of that bill’s produce, while tasting far fresher than supermarket shelves and providing weeks worth of cut and grow again greens.
Evermoon vs. Other Fall Seed Kits
| Feature | Our Evermoon Fall Kit | Other Kits Out There |
|---|---|---|
| Climate focus | Florida Fall (Zones 9b-10a) | Generic “Zone 9 summer” or nationwide don’t account for our heat, sandy soils and humidity. |
| Varieties | 16 UF-tested, 30-90 day harvest window, Non-GMO | Most popular seeds chosen with no thought for what would work best in Florida. |
| Germination assurance | Lab-tested; % & test date on each packet | Often “packed for 2024”—no data shown |
| Packaging | 100 % plastic-free (paper, compostable) | Foil/mylar pouches; plastic shipping |
| Guidance | Detailed Garden Guide + Plot Plan + Florida calendar + pest sheet + 15-min task list | Maybe a blog link; no day-to-day help |
| Price | $29.95 | $15–$35 (but fewer fall-ready extras) |

Which crops are included in the Fall kit?
You receive seeds for 14 Florida-proven vegetables plus 2 companion flowers: Bush bean, snap pea, cucumber, cherry tomato, carrot, leaf lettuce, kale, collard greens, mustard greens, Swiss chard, beet, radish, basil, parsley, nasturtium, and marigold.
What if I have a larger family than 2?
If you have a family of 4, you can double the kit purchase. For example, buy 2 for a family of 4, buy 3 for a family of 6, and so on.
Is the packaging truly plastic-free?
Yes. Seed packets are paper; the pouch and 100% recycled shipping box are kraft; labels use sugar-cane adhesive. Every component is compostable.
When does it ship, and when do I plant?
Kits ship July 15. Start tomatoes and basil indoors that same week. Plant the rest following the guide provided.
Do I need special tools or lots of time?
No special tools—just basic hand tools and a hose. There will be special equipment needed or frugal options listed in the Garden Guide for the growing process. The 15-Minute Garden Method breaks tasks into daily bite-size steps you can finish after work.
